Thank you, thank you, thank you. For speaking out. For having the courage not to compromise, tolerate and unfairly profit from cheating in life. From huge entities to individuals, compromising our values for power, money or a cause…a plague of being human… is driving our country into ruin. You set yourself apart from many others. Thank you for being brave enough to speak out, I’m sure you will be or already are paying a dear price for what you are doing. In a time when I feel I am losing all hope, you are a point of light and hope. I am praying for you all.
Marcel you are an inspritation for our USA. We need more people like you
that are strong and honest. Keep it up my friend and I will keep you in my prayers.
I want to share a comment that I received at my blog….in support of Marcel Reid and the ACORN-8.
Dear Ms Reid: I am a middle aged, white, gray haired, staunch consevative, retired military officer. On the face of it, most would say that you and I have very little in common. HOWEVER: we have much in common. We both believe in fair play, integrity, and most of all, the truth. I watched you on Glen Beck and must tell you that I stood and applauded you at the end of your segment. You are the apitamy of what our country needs today. You are the best example of what a good citizen fighting for the proper rights of people in a fair way, should be. Ms Reid, you keep up the good fight! People of all backgrounds are rising to your defence. From what I’ve seen of you and heard from you, you will NOT be intimidated, run over, or shut up. We had a great lady in the 60’s who made us all “think” and then “change for the better” - Rosa Parks. In 2009, we have you. God Bless you. I’m sending a donation to help.

I had written off ACORN as a corrupt and exploitative group of political hacks until your appearance with Glenn Beck.
I pray that you and others who want to return ACORN to its original purposes: to organize the less fortunate to help themselves climb the social ladder, will be successful.
Know that there are thousands more who may not take the time to respond in writing who, nevertheless are enthused by the alternatives you and your cohorts offer.

I was thinking that we should all go to our local chapters of ACORN and demand that they support you and that they demand accountability as well. Is this a good idea?
I just finished watching your interview with Glenn Beck. Just for the record, I am a conservative and would never, EVER, support any liberal. With that being said, I would like to applaud YOU, as well as, those who are joining you, for standing up against getting your message out. I have been following the acorn story and I find how they operate to be very sickening and disgusting. I also agree with what Mr. Beck stated of how the dems ‘USE’ people to gain their control. Ive worked in the welfare field for almost seven years and I have seen first hand what goes on and its appalling that people ‘THINK’ that dems help them. The ONLY thing they do is oppress and control them - NOT help them out of poverty.
I hope that your group is successful in exposing the fraud that goes on behind closed doors.

I am sure that there are MANY people out there from all parties that applaud what you are doing. Integrity and honesty are sorely lacking in this country. Fight the fight and know that there are many small voices out here that support you!
Amen! I have been in mortgage lending since 1992 and I know that I can help! I am not in the position to send $$$, I have tried to become involved in helping low to mod borrowers keep their homes, but because the color of my skin (white) I have been discouraged (harrassed, called a racist, etc).
Fight the good fight, we conservatives are right with you!

ACORN has done some good work. All patriots should recognize that groups like ACORN could, under the leadership of people like Ms. Reid who simply want everything to be “on the up and up” — become something that both liberals and conservatives can support — a private organization of regular people working together to help to empower the downtrodden. Groups like ACORN have the potential for phenomenal service in the community provided that the corruption is cleaned up. It is a shame to see what could be a very fine organization become so corrupt at high levels. I think there needs to be a major “clean-up” operation in this organization and Ms. Reid, along with others within ACORN who have principles and a deep sense of fairness, seems to be a sign of hope that it can happen.
We should all want the downtrodden to have a hand up in life. Private organizations of patriots working together to make that happen are vital. Let’s all pray that ACORN will not die but will be make a comeback and be completely revitalized by people like Ms. Reid who have good intentions and a willingness to fight the good fight but simply want to play by the rules.
Ms. Reid…you make me proud to be an American! I agree with everything you and the others are trying to do…I am under the impression that if Acorn has nothing to hide they would have opened their books to you …no questions…thank you for being a patriot!
What about the funeral home on Elysian Road in Louisiana that is laundering money for 270 organizations for the crooks stealing this money?

ACORN has done some good work.
